Who We Are Palaestra, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that was founded in 1994 to provide home education families with quality enrichment classes at an affordable rate. Classes are held on Fridays at His Church Anglican, 34500 Six Mile Rd., in Livonia. Palaestra is a decidedly Christian organization. Biblical standards for life and conduct are encouraged. The Palaestra Board of Directors seeks to maintain a Christ honoring atmosphere, and strives to adhere to a biblical standard of ethics in business. Snow Days Should we decide to cancel classes due to snow, it will be announced on the local television stations. It will also be announced by the scrolling marquee on the website. |

| Katherine Pyle | ||
Katy is one of the five founding board members of Palaestra. From 1994 to 2023 she served as Staff and Schedule Coordinator, and since 2009 as Treasurer and Web Manager as well. While attending college in California, she was an instructional aide in elementary Special Ed classes with the goal of becoming a teacher. In 1983. she and her husband were introduced to the idea of homeschooling, and the adventure began! Now, she finds herself still encouraging young families to seek the Lord and trust Him for guidance in their home educating endeavor. Katy has taught a variety of classes through the years, but currently, enjoys teaching hand sculpture to elementary students. |
