A Taste of History

Bringing history to life through the dishes and foods people were eating at different times in the past- this real life connection to the past brings history alive!

The best way to get interested in history is to find connections with the people, places, times and lives of those living in the past. A Taste of History class does just that. When we study a particular time and place in history, we will be learning all about the people; how they lived, how they played a role in the story of history, and what was happening in the world around them.

Instructor Bio:

Hey there! I’m Laura Vasquez, homeschool mom to one daughter, lifelong homeschooler, and passionate educator. I have had the privilege of working in education for around 20 years. I believe that if students are interested and engaged in what they’re studying and working with, it makes for meaningful learning that they can build upon. God meets us where we are, teaches us what we need to know, and guides us in all things- that’s my personal model for learning. I am new to the Palaestra family and am eager to get to know you.
