  Speech For Every Day
   
  Required book: Abeka "Speech for Every Day" This class is designed to prepare your student to overcome one of the greatest fear of man, public speaking! Public speaking is said to be one of the greatest fears in the world! The selected textbook will help convey the importance of speech and communication, while building their confidence and skill in public speaking. In addition to learning the importance of speech, students will learn the mechanics and technical aspects of effective communication. Various assigned speeches will be given in class and as homework to help build skill and confidence in speech and performances. Some of the speech assignments include interviews, instructions, monologues, soliloquies, storytelling, and devotionals, just to name a few. Grades will be based on completed homework assignments and attendance. Materials needed: 3 ring-binder, loose leaf paper, pen/pencil and the student textbook.

  Toni Buxton is a wife, mother of three adult sons, two attended Palaestra, previously. Teacher of the Bible and former homeschool instructor. Has a heart for teaching others to pursue the riches of knowledge which is at their fingertips.
