The goal of our video production class is to have fun while communicating through story telling using the medium of television
This class will teach how to take an idea or concept and turn it into the reality of a television show. We will also define the role of a producer. We will talk about the rights and wrongs or the do and do not of television production.
Each student will expand on their BIG idea of what they would like to produce. Then we will explore how to use their cell phones to be the recording device. Learning how to frame a shot, light it and capture sound are the fundamentals of quality video projects. We will explore using a simple studio or shooting on location as well.
1st assignment will be creating a simple talking heads show.
The art of editing will give the students insight into the world of the invisible story teller, The Editor!
Turning our attentions to their stories will be the 2nd video assignment. Next is exploring more sophisticated software to edit with. Adobe Premier.
Fun with a green screen expands the students realm of thinking outside the box Simple animations will demonstrate how to create new worlds The final project will be a contest and a chance to have their work seen on Public Access television in the cities of Farmington, Farmington Hills and Novi.
This is a very exciting class of visual communications and story telling using the technology each student already possess.=
