| Students will interactively learn about several foreign countries; map locations, culture, foods and national dress, music, basic vocabulary, and brief history. There will be fun projects, games, presentations and other activities.
Class will require each student choose one country of interest and prepare either a brief speech, powerpoint, brochure, posterboard, booklet or cartoon strip to teach their classmates about that nation. the final class will culminate in a celebration of cultures where parents may prepare and bring a sampling of their nation’s food, dress, music, artifact, etc, given no children have allergies and/or parents are present to supervise.

| My name is Candyce Torres, and I am thrilled to be part of this vibrant homeschool community. As a homeschooling mom of three wonderful children Gavin, Elliana, and Isabella who have been attending Palaestra since 2018, I understand firsthand the importance of providing a nurturing and enriching educational environment. In my teaching philosophy, I strive to create a supportive and engaging atmosphere where children can thrive. I believe in the power of silliness and laughter to unlock creativity and foster a love for learning. Most importantly, I am dedicated to helping children recognize their unique gifts and talents, knowing that each one is fearfully and wonderfully made by God. |
