| | In this class, students will learn the basics of clay construction; coil pots, slab construction, and hand sculpture. We will introduce a variety of texturing techniques, variations on glaze application, and creative adaption of basic shapes. Returning students will enjoy new projects and be encouraged to expand their creative talents with any repeat projects.
All clay, glazes and firing are included in the material fee. |

| | Katy is one of the five founding board members of Palaestra. From 1994 to 2023 she served as Staff and Schedule Coordinator, and since 2009 as Treasurer and Web Manager as well.
While attending college in California, she was an instructional aide in elementary Special Ed classes with the goal of becoming a teacher. In 1983. she and her husband were introduced to the idea of homeschooling, and the adventure began! Now, she finds herself still encouraging young families to seek the Lord and trust Him for guidance in their home educating endeavor.
Katy has taught a variety of classes through the years, but currently, enjoys teaching hand sculpture to elementary students. |
