OFF CAMPUS LOCATION: CENTER STAGE DANCE COMPANY

TINY TAP (Tuesday)
Boys Welcome! Ages 3-5. In this toe-tapping class, students will learn the basics of tap dance which focus on rhythm, musicality and
timing. All classes begin with an energetic warm-up, across the floor exercises and tap combinations. Students will explore the
fundamental steps of tap dance, learn tap terminology and develop the ability to maintain correct body placement. Each student will
need black BUCKLE or VELCRO tap shoes. Girls should wear pink tights & leotard with their hair pulled back. Boys should wear
black stretch pants and a white T-shirt. Material fee is for recital costume and covers the entire year. PLEASE NOTE: This class is a
ONE year (fall and winter semester) long commitment. There will be one recital at the end of the WINTER semester in May 2018.

   
  Instructor: Kilpatrick, Christina
  Instructor Bio:
  Christina Kilpatrick has been training in Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Lyrical and Praise dance for over fifteen years. She is a STOTT Pilates certified instructor and a certified Personal Trainer through The National Academy of Sports Medicine. Christina has been teaching dance for over fifteen years. She is the founder and Artistic Director of the Palaestra Dance Team and has been leading the program since 2007. Christina is a former company member of Grace Dance Ensemble and was the founder and creator of the six year long Earth to Eternity praise dance ensemble ministry. In addition to conducting the Palaestra Dance Team, Christina is on the children’s ministry team for the Oak Pointe West Bloomfield church plant. She also enjoys cooking, walking in Maybury State Park and spending time with her husband, Iain. Christina loves working with dancers of all ages and abilities and is excited to share her passion for dance with her students!
