  History Heroes 4th-6th

Here's a history class that has it all! Animated Hero Classics has done a great job in making history fun. Your students will enjoy reading comprehension, writing, homonyms and spelling,  T/F, fill-in the blank, matching, crosswords, secret codes, and a host of other fun exercises in this multifaceted history class.

We will explore 8 different heroes and spend about 2 weeks on each (with the exception of one) Every other week a new history hero will be introduced via video, along with a class assignment to reinforce newly learned information. A 3-4 day homework  packet will be given to complete at home for the week, and checked in class on Friday. (Students are rewarded with prizes for homework completion). Once the homework has been checked and credited, we will play fun games to test their knowledge.

They will have a "Who, What, Where, When, Why and How" sheet to complete on each subject. I guarantee, they will not be bored! (Students must be able to read and write for this class).

Materials needed: folder, spiral notebook, pencil/pen

This is a one-semester class.

  Instructor Bio:
A veteran of Palaestra, this is my 27th year. I have been a teacher since 1997 and a board member since 2005. I love children and what Palaestra stands for. I have taught many classes over the years: Vocal Chorus, an etiquette and grooming class, liturgical dance, medieval history, literature/grammar, cursive writing, Dave Ramsey financial course, study skills and more. In all I teach, my aim is to glorify God. Since my kids are now adults, I take great pleasure in pouring into yours and making certain they know that in all we do, it is unto His glory alone.
