| I would like to take a few high school students on an adventure with electronics. We'll start with some fundamental concepts of electronics, experiment with electronics, write up a few lab reports and put together a Powerpoint presentation. We'll also have each student build a kit or two he or she can keep.
Course Objectives:
Understand basic electronic components (Resistors, capacitors, wires, lights, switches)
Understand electric concepts (voltage, current, power)
Understand basic test equipment (power supply, meter, oscilloscope)
Techniques for building and testing electronic devices
Project #0 - how to solder, how to pick out components, how to put them together
Project #1 - a kit that each student will build and keep.
