Class Information

  J.Wile Adv. Bio/The Human Body 12th

Advanced Biology in Creation: The Human Body is a college-prep course that provides an advanced study of the anatomy and physiology of the human body’s 11 organ systems in detail. Combined with a first-year biology course such as Exploring Creation With Biology, it gives the student the equivalent of a university biology course. In order to take this course, the student must have completed a first-year biology course AND a first-year chemistry course. Students will be expected to do much of their learning at home. Class time will be devoted to going over review questions, explaining some of the course content, and laboratory work, including microscope work and dissections.  You can use as the textbook either the original Jay Wile text The Human Body--Fearfully and Wonderfully Made (2001) or the 2nd Edition of the text, Exploring Creation With Advanced Biology:  The Human Body (2013) by Marilynn Shannon and Racheael Yunis.  The 2nd Edition is nearly identical to the original Jay Wile text but with improved illustrations.
