  Palaestra Voices 12+
   
  Welcome to Palaestra Voices, a dynamic choral group that welcomes students who love to sing or have always wanted to! No audition to join is necessary. All choir students are needed and expected to participate in performances offered within the school year, a Christmas concert and also a Spring Concert with various genres of music represented, both sacred and secular Students will learn solid vocal techniques to better their singing abilities. They will also learn basic music theory and enjoy working together as they blend heir voices in harmony with others. Come join the fun in an encouraging and friendly environment! Let us discover and enjoy together, one of the most unique and powerful gifts God has given us, the human voice!

  Instructor Bio:
  Mrs. Kurche has been enjoying home schooling her two children - Ella and Kyle for five years. She is originally from Toronto where she studied voice and piano at the University of Toronto as a child. She came to Michigan state to study music therapy. Mrs. Kurche has two music degrees - elementary music education and music therapy. She worked as a music teacher at a private school before her kids were born. Mrs. Kurche also works at a local music store teaching piano and voice. She enjoys sharing her love of music to students of all ages. In her spare time, Mrs. kurche enjoys reading, sewing, going for walks with her dogs and rehabbing small mammals particularly, squirrels!
