Instructor: Jacobsen, Doreen
Instructor Bio:
I am Doreen Jacobsen and my passion is to to creatively interact and teach younger children. I have taught first grade for several years in Detroit and substitute taught kindergarten through fifth grade before that. I have18 grad level credits towards my Masters Degree but raised kids instead of finishing that pursuit. I especially enjoy teaching almost any subject in which I can make learning stimulating and FUN !!! I especially love teaching my interactive geography class, AROUND THE WORLD, because I believe God has used so much creativity and diversity (not to mention humor ) in creating all the peoples and nations of His world, my personal favorite. My "FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY MADE" human anatomy class ( not available now) is personally motivating as well, and the students seem to get a lot out of that class too. BRAIN GAMES helps me keep my mental faculties young as your children and I enjoy stimulaing exercises for our minds. Above all, though, I love inviting the person of Christ into our classroom so that HE receives the glory for all learning and prized relationships that form as I also learn from these beautiful, young, and intelligent kids. Parents are always welcome to join us in the learning process too, pop in any time.
