Mechanical Design Fundamentals 101 (MDF101HS) is an introduction design course for grades 8 through 12 levels. Students will learn the basics of technical design used in the creation of mechanical and architectural designs. It is primarily a home-based program of instruction with weekly one hour lectures and seminars to assist students in the software application processes for design development. It is self-paced with opportunities for students to move into more complicated software for Architectural, 3D Parametric Modeling, Computer Gaming and Animation Development, Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Interior Designs. It is an introductory level course intended for new AutoCAD users. This course is a step by step tutorial that covers all the fundamental skills necessary to use AutoCAD as a tool to work proficiently as a drafter or designer and prepares the student for the AutoCAD Certification Exam.
