In this class, students learned in the first semester the seven elements of art design which are Line, Shape, Texture, Color, Value, Form and Space.
SECOND SEMESTER will be different, we will have MORE projects which incorporate the elements of design which we already learned. More painting, some 3 D projects, more doing and less "learning of the basics". This is a very hands on class so they will not have to do learning exercises. They will have more freedom to express themselves.
Prerequisite: students should be able to independently use scissors following along lines
| ||Feel free to call me Beth. I received a Bachelor of Fine Art from the College For Creative Studies and have been passionate about art my entire life. I have a loving and supportive husband who is a high school teacher and I have been blessed to be able to stay at home raising my 4 children, ages 12, 10, 8, 5. When I was 18 I became a licensed cosmetologist and managed a hair salon while going to college and have kept up my license. I have been my oldest daughters Girl Scout Leader for the last 3 years and adore our troop. I enjoy photography, paper crafting, jewelry making and beading, however, I always have a creative project happening. During the summer we like to camp and work on our old house (which seems to be a never ending project). We are very active with our church and enjoy serving the Lord. I love performing random acts of kindness through sending out handmade greeting cards and "hiding" hand painted rocks. I am very excited to be sharing my passion of art with the students of Palaestra and my goal is for every student to feel accomplished and proud of their own masterpieces.
