  Get Crafty W/ Science, Too!
   
  
Love ‘Getting Crafty with Science’? Well, you can ‘Get Crafty with Science Too!’ Geared towards 3rd to 5th grades, this project based science class is a great way for upper elementary students to get hands on with science! Young scientists will be challenged to develop and apply basic scientific inquiry skills as they complete fun projects and crafts reinforcing key general science concepts.  Projects and crafts will include some all time favorites, as well as new content and material covering general science topics. A complete list of class topics will be provided to parents at the beginning of the school year. (3rd to 5th)

  Instructor Bio:
  Kimberly Buffenn holds advanced degrees in chemistry and biochemistry. She’s taught K-12, undergraduate, and graduate level students at multiple K-12 schools, collages, and universities. In 2002, she founded the Kaykim Foundation which continues to earn recognition and awards for the programs she develops, including an award from the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In 2016, she started Kaykim Academics to develop hands-on, interactive, multidisciplinary educational kits and curricula for K-12 based on her award winning educational programs. Working to achieve accreditation, Kaykim Academics also trains teachers for continuing education credits.
