OFF CAMPUS LOCATION: CENTER STAGE DANCE COMPANY
BALLET 4/ PrePointe (Tuesday/Friday)
INVITE ONLY. This advanced ballet class is for the serious dancer who wishes to progress in their dance education and improve
their skills as a ballerina. The season will begin with a review of previous technique and then move on to new steps. Dancers will be
challenged to memorize new choreography and learn across-the-floor combinations. Focus will be on proper turnout, advanced
barre exercises along with improving balance, poise and flexibility. Each student will need pink leather ballet flats, tights, and a solid
black leotard. Hair in a bun. In order to progress at a rate in which students are ready to begin Pointe, students must attend two
days per week. Tuesdays will only be technique and non-recital rehearsals. Pointe Shoe fittings will be determined based on
individual strength and progress; students will not all begin Pointe at the same time. (This is for the dancer’s safety!) Material fee is
for recital costume and covers the entire year. PLEASE NOTE: This class is a ONE year (fall and winter semester) long
commitment. There will be one recital at the end of the WINTER semester in May 2018.
