Class Information

Elementary Theater ages6-8

Students will learn basic acting techniques including pantomime, improvisation, theatre games and theatre terminology. Together, we will create an original play based on a classic Fairy Tale or Fable. Props and set design are part of the class experience. An in class performance is planned for the end of the semester.

Instructor Bio:

Patsy has taught at Palaestra since 2002. She has her BA from the University of Michigan in Speech/Communications and Theater and her MA from Eastern Michigan University in Drama/Theater for the Young. She has been a teacher in the Theatre Arts since 1988. She owns the Shoe-String Theatre Co, LLC and has taught drama classes and workshops in local schools and at the Livonia YMCA. She also has her CDA for Early Childhood Development and was a Music Teacher at the Livonia Montessori School.
